The magician shows two different cards. One with a red back and the other with a blue back. For the sake of example, let's say the blue back card is a nine of clubs and the red back is a five of hearts. The blue back nine of clubs is taken away and the spectator is asked which card is left. The spectator says what he believes to be true, but it is discovered that it is the exact opposite of what he thought. The nine of clubs now changes to the red back card and the five of hearts now has the blue back. Amazing.
